Thandel takes a highest opening for Naga Chaitanya

on Feb 8, 2025

Thandel starring Naga Chaitanya Akkineni and Sai Pallavi released with a huge buzz and mixed reviews. The movie makers predicted it to be Chaitanya's highest grosser prior to the release. The movie opened to highest ever day 1 collections of Naga Chaitanya with over 21 crores gross worldwide.

The movie has been stated to have cost Rs.80-100 crores production cost and this number is relatively good for the film. The first weekend is key for the film to maximize its potential. The movie has collected Rs.21.27 crores gross worldwide. North America gross has reached US$400K and is inching close to half million mark.

The weekend collections are key for the film to recover the investment. As the makers did not sell the rights to anyone, the theatrical collections are highly important for the producers to make a profit. Satellite and Digital rights have been sold to a reasonable amount, highest in Chaitanya's career.

The Day 2 trending is also good for the movie and we have to see how it performs over the next two days. Sai Pallavi played the leading lady role and Chandoo Mondeti has directed the film. Devi Sri Prasad scored chartbusters and good BGM for the film while Bunny Vasu produced it with Allu Aravind presenting it.
