Naga Chaitanya is known for being private and as an introvert who doesn't want to be seen too much in the public eye. Even though as a celebirty and hailing from a reputed family, has been in the news, he tends to stay private as much as possible. For the first time, he openly spoke about his divorce with Samantha.

For his film, Thandel promotions, he gave an interview to an individual podcaster and openly shared that he took time and thought 1000 times before taking the decision to divorce Samantha. He stated that as he himself comes from a broken house - referring to his parents - Nagarjuna and Lakshmi taking divorce at his young age, he stated that he knows the pain it can cause to break a relationship.

"I don't understand how I'm being seen as a criminal just because I took divorce. It is a mutual decision and no one forced it onto us. It was our decision and we wanted to go our separate ways as that is the best possible way moving forward," stated Naga Chaitanya showcasing his exasperation.

Chaitanya further wondered that he did not understand how come their divorce became such a national issue, when both of them drifted apart with consent like adults. He stated that media portals tried to make it a huge issue while it is their personal matter.

He further stated that he always wish best for Samantha. He also clarified that Sobhita Dhulipala never had any role in their divorce. He openly stated that they met on Instagram and in their chat, they started becoming friends and then, it resulted in marriage, very organically.
