New York Museum’s Tribute To Mani Ratnam

Highly acclaimed Indian director Mani Ratnam will be honoured with a special tribute by a prestigious museum in New York.
Museum of the Moving Image will showcase three of his acclaimed films Roja, Bombay and Dil Se.The ceremony is scheduled to take place from July 31 to August 2. They described Mani as "that rarest of film directors" who is "capable of making exquisitely crafted, hugely entertaining, yet intelligent and provocative films on a range of social and political issues”.
This very same New York museum has also hosted Oscar-winning Indian composer AR Rahman earlier this year, showcasing the world premiere of his documentary Jai Ho to a packed theatre.
59 year old Mani Ratnam will also attend the event.
