Puri Jagannadh, Mahesh Khaidi Confirmed

Tollywood director Puri Jagannadh has decided to remake Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster hit Khaidi with Tollywood Super Star Mahesh Babu. This news is posted by none other than director Purijagan on a social networking site. Purijagan tweeted, Actually me and mahesh thought about this three years back. Because we both love Chiru. Khaidi is our favourite film. Very soon we will plan. According to the Latest news the film will start from September 2012 and get released in January 2013.

Khaidi Movie released on October 28, 1983. The movie was the turning point in Megastar Chiranjeevi's career. Though it was his 62nd film, he actually became the star after the release of this blockbuster which was directed by Kodandarami Reddy. Inspired by Sylvester Stallon starrer First Blood (1982) , director Kondandarami Reddy and writers duo Parachuri Brothers wrote Khaid i and the film made Chiranjeevi a superstar overnight.
