He spent his childhood in Chennai under the supervision of his favorite paternal grandmother Smt. Durgamma. His schooling (St Bede’s School) was in Chennai and he was already a promising child artist by that time. Mahesh was graduated in Commerce from Loyola College, Chennai and took a break from the celluloid.
