Sai Korrapati has become a brand in Tollywood as he is producing both small & big budget films. In an attempt to encourage the young talent, he has once again come up with a film titled ‘Tungabhadra’. Let us check the review to know more about the movie.
Story:
‘Tungabhadra’ is all about the rivalry between two families in Thadikonda. Rama Raju (Sathyaraj) and Paidithalli (Kota Srinivasa Rao) are opponents and they have an arch rivalry for year. Rama Raju kills Chalapathi Rao and bloodshed continues in that place. Rama Raju gives an assignment to Seenu (Adith) about his daughter Gauri (Dimple Chopade). Can Seenu complete the task given by Rama Raju? Wha happens to Gauri and Seenu? All these threads form the rest of the story.
Analysis:
Srinivas Krishna Gogineni made his debut as a director with this movie and he scored marks for his skill set. ‘Tungabhadra’ is one of those movies where every actor and technician performs their part but the story itself is stale.
As soon as we come to know about the story, we can relate this movie to many other Telugu films.
Teluguone Perspective:
‘Tungabhadra’ is technically rich. BGM and songs composed by Radhan are good. Cinematography work and editing part are also neat. Srinivas Krishna has written good dialogues and the entire film is shot in a village.
It is good to see a rural film after a long time, but lack of freshness in the script plays the spoilsport. Lead actors have done a very good job in this predictable action entertainer.
Performances:
Adith Arun looked apt for the role. Sathyaraj delivered another outstanding performance as Rama Raju. Dimple Chopade is a complete miscast for the role. Kota Srinivasa Rao and he other actors have done their job.
