P Susheela, legendary Telugu singer, has achieved yet another feat in her life. With her stupendous singing, soulful rendering of various melodies and giving fresh lease of life to classical music, she's enthralling music lovers of the south for the last five decades.
Born in 1935, she has reportedly recorded upto 17,695 solo, duet and chorus-backed songs in over six Indian languages since the 1960s. Identifying this, today Guinness Book of Records has certified her achievement too. They credited her as "Officially Amazing" on the certificate.
Susheela is known as Telugu kokila and she has sung songs in all South Indian languages and Hindi as well.
