Tanikella Bharani’s Pyaasa

Tanikella Bharani Birthday Special: Actor, screen play writer, dialogue writer, poet, theatre actor, magazine editor, playwright director and now social activist - Tanikella Bharani has donned many hats in his 57 years . With more than 30 years of credible work in Telugu cinema, he has worked in more than 700 films and won many film awards including 3 Nandi Awards . A bankable character artist he forayed into direction with his experimental film Sira and highly acclaimed full fledged directorial venture Mithunam with SP Bala Subranmanyam and Lakshmi.

A writer par excellence, he has written Siva Thatvalu, Shabhash Ra Shankara and now on his birthday is coming out with a new book called “Pyaasa”. This book written in the Rubaayis format of Persian poetry is a first time attempt to write Telugu poetry in this fashion. We hope that this book is as successful as his other works and Telugu One wishes him a very Happy Birthday and we look forward to his films, books and poetry in future.
