It is very rare that the celebrities we idolise open up to the world about their deep dark secrets. Many fear that it could dent their standing in the industry and also their fan following could be effected. But there are very few who have the courage to come out clean in the media and confess their shortcomings. Ranbir Kapoor did just that recently. While talking to the media, he opened up saying he has drinking problems.  “I think I could have an alcohol problem. It is a visual medium and I have to look after myself. I have seen it in my family, I have seen it go the wrong way, so I’m aware I have a drinking problem. When I shoot, when I work, I don’t drink. But when I’m not shooting…”, he said. Usually we don't see public figures talk too much about their personal lives. Ranbir Kapoor is usually hesitant to open up. But this time he chose to reveal some details about his life. He also spoke about his break up with Katrina and how it affected him and also what she means to him.

“Katrina, after my parents, has been the most inspiring and motivating factor in my life. Period. That is too dear to me and there is no explanation, there is nothing I can tell you about it. Nobody will understand it. And I don't want to sell it.”, he said. Katrina on the other hand responded by saying, “You know what I think, it's something that came to me many times, if I was a person who did not have a luxury.. see I do think being an actor is quite a luxurious job, we have staff and we are treated specially, to be fair.  But if I worked in say, an office or if I had a normal job, you are still going to go to work. You are still going to be required to do your job."
