Pushpa 2 & Varisu to face ban in Karnataka due to Rashmika
on Nov 25, 2022
Rashmika Mandanna's recent remarks have sparked debate in the Kannada film industry. In an interview, she stated that she did not watch Kantara because she did not have the time. However, Kannada people chastised her for casually mentioning the Kantara film without mentioning the production company's name and for using the under quote hand gesture for the production house "Parmvah Studios" that gave her a chance.
However, there is now talk that various Karnataka film industry organisation committees will take steps to ban her films in the state. Rishab Shetty recently responded as well. Her first break came from Kirik Party, and her first chance came from director Rishab Shetty. Rakshit Shetty, her ex-boyfriend, played the hero.
Rishab Shetty stated in an interview that he would not do films with "so-called actresses" referring to Rashmika, and he did so without mentioning Rashmika's name but showing her gestures. And now, if she is banned in Kannada, it will be a major setback for Pushpa 2 as well as the upcoming film Varisu/Vaarasudu.
