60 Crores Burden Riding On Oopiri
on Mar 24, 2016
Nagarjuna's latest film, a multi-starrer with Karthi, is gearing up for a release on March 25th. This Friday we're going to see his "Oopiri" making huge noise at box office. But the success for this film is not a cakewalk as expected.
Making a film under 15 crores budget and squeezing 50+ crores share from box office is what Nagarjuna advocates. That's why he said Soggade Chinni Nayana is a huge hit, but films that are made with 50 crores budget and collecting 50 crores from box office are nothing. And Nagarjuna's words are going to hit him back, and hard. "Oopiri" is said to have costed producer PVP nearly 60 crores budget. He may get 10+ crores through Satellite rights, and that puts up 50 crores burden on theatrical release. That's the reason the film is being released in both Telugu and Tamil.
Will Nagarjuna pull the film to shores? Will his newly acquired super stardom help producers recover their 60 crores? Let's see.
