Odela 2 is one of the well promoted sequels of Telugu Cinema. Tamannaah Bhatia in a Naga Sadhvi role and her appearance in a non-glamorous look have created good attention and buzz for the film. Sampath Nandi continued Odela franchise after much appreciated Odela Railway Station film with this one. The makers promised a divine experience for audiences and let's discuss about it, now.

Plot:
Tirupati (Vasishta Simha) gets samadhi siksha after his wife Radha (Hebah Patel) kills him in the first one. Due to this, he turns into Devil and starts killing young ladies through sexual harrassment. First villagers think several influenced people are trying to use his name to do so but they get a live sample after a police officer dies challenging him.

Unable to understand how to overcome this challenge they try different things. Finally, villagers of Odela decide to go for help and Radha tells them about her sister Bhairavi (Tamannaah), who became Naga Sadhvi. The villagers find her and ask her to help them. How will she overcome this challenge with the help of her devotion to Lord Shiva? Watch the movie to know more .

Analysis:

Tamannaah Bhatia in a de-glam role also looked beautiful and she did her best to pull off this difficult character. Her character goes through different emotions and she did perform well. Vasishta Simha's office and screen presence are a plus for the film. Rest of them did not have much to do and they did well within the limits.

Sampath Nandi seems to have re-imagined Ammoru, Arundhati at the outset, but most of the Devil vs God have similar storylines and Odela 2 is no expection. Still, the impactful visuals and technical values could have made this film, a must watch. While the taking and imaginative narrative in the first half work well enough the second half loses the steam and impact.

There are moments in the film that engage us and the production values are much better than we anticipate. Ajaneesh Lokanath's BGM and Soundarrajan visuals are highlights of this visuals based film. In writing and editing, the film could have been impactful and better in the second half.

While there are many elements that jog back our memories to old films with similar themes, Odela 2 could have benefited with an impactful climax and better effective editing. On the whole, the movie could have been much better with even more focus in writing.

In Conclusion:
Good attempt but could have been better with better and even more impactful climax.

Rating: 2.5/5
