Nagababu dismisses misogynistic remarks on women

on Dec 27, 2025

Nagababu reacted to men dictating to women, how to dress or what to do and not to do, in his style. He clearly stated that he is not reacting to Shivaji's comments only in particular or targeting him but he is asking such misogyny prevailing in the disguise of protectiveness in society.

He opined that men cannot dictate women to behave in a certain manner or wear only certain clothes as fashions change, time change and thought process change. He remarked that even saree-clad women face brutality of men and it doesn't depend on what someone wear but how someone perceive them.

Nagababu very emotionally stated that he reacts to such situations as a son, a father, a brother, a husband and a friend. He stated that when men can differentiate between how to behave with their respective family members, lovers and strangers - mainly women, then such requests would die.

He pointed out that rather than asking for women to stay guarded it is required for men to be given lessons about how to behave and how to accept freedom and choice to wear. Nagababu assured to women to fight against such men and not feel restricted as people like him will always be there in support of them.

Shivaji recently raised a controversial debate as he commented about what women should wear in public platforms. While he apologised, Telangana Women Commission has asked him to appear in front of them and render clarification. Nagababu's comments have become important in this context but as he explicitly stated he targeted behavior of men in general than just Shivaji.
