Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna graced the audio launch event of his 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni in traditional outfit. He came in the same getup of Satakarni to the ceremony.
“I’m really glad with the response for the film’s trailer. All my friends told me to waiting for release of the film. Satakarni is a great emperor ruled the nation for ages. I’m happy to reprise his role. Bad thing is we don’t know much about Satakarni. Many details about him were discovered because of inscriptions by his mother Gautami.
Director Krish has made some wonderful films which Telugus should proud of. I was listening to many scripts. Though few pleased me, several weren’t. I wanted my 100th film to be very special. I gave immediate nod when Krish narrated me the film’s story. It’s always good to know about unknown things.
Krish forecasted that I would be apt for the role of Satakarni. Every artist will have limitations. Even, I don’t fit for all roles. I confidently say that, this movie is going to create history,” said Balakrishna.
Interim, GPSK is slated for release during Sankranthi, 2017.
