Naga Chaitanya takes a pay cut for heroine?

Looks like Naga Chaitanya loves his craft and can go to any extent to give his movie the best. If news reports are anything to go by, it seems Chaitanya wanted Shruti Haasan to play the role of Malar in the telugu remake of the Malayalam super hit movie Premam, in which he is the hero. But because of delivering recent hits like Race gurram and Srimanthudu Shruti has hiked her fee and the producers of this movie could not afford to cast her as the lead. To this Chaitanya apparently took a pay cut of a whopping Rs 50 lakh rupees to accommodate Shruti as the main lead of the movie!
