Lion A Huge Embarrassment Before 99th

The run of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest movie “Lion” almost came to an end at all the theatres. Final box office figures are indicating that the film’s result is a huge embarrassment before his landmark 99th and 100th films come and hit screens.
With its full and final run, “Lion”, directed by newcomer Satyadeva, has collected nearly 15.1 crores share from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box offices. It managed to mint 1.35 crores from Karnataka and including all other territories like US and rest of India, the film managed a meagre 16.8 crores share.
As theatrical rights of the film are valued at 24.5 crores, it indicates that distributors lost a huge chunk of their investment. Hope Balayya bounces back with 99th film being directed by Srivaas.
