Telugu Movie On Lesbian Relations

Indian Supreme Court made it clear that home sexuality is a crime and many Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender activists are fighting with the judiciary to strike off Section 377. Supreme however banned same-sex relations and marriages. Recently when United States SC made gay-marriages legal, many Indians are also hopeful that even our country will legalise them.

Recently we have seen how an ad of enthinc wear brand Anouk went viral on social circuits. It features two women, one with short hair and other one with long curly hair, posing as lesbian partners. Inspired by that advertisement, Tollywood makers are now coming up with a film titled “Affair”. Telugu anchor Prasanthi will be seen as one of the girl who indulges with passionate hugging and lip kissing with her partner from same sex.

Probably we can dub this film as Telugu industry’s “Fire”, a Deepa Mehta film that stunned nation long back for portraying Shabhana Azmi and Nandita Das as lesbians. We have to see how society will react to this film, and how Censor Board is going to certify the film after Supreme Court’s recent judgement. However, going by the pictures release, this lesbian affair looks little sleazy.
