Star hero Vijay Devarakonda, on his birthday announced his next 2 projects along with VD12. The VD14 in collaboration with director Rahul Sankrityan, under the prestigious banner of Mythri Movie Makers, created lot of excitement.

The film is set to be a period action drama, produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar with a huge budget around 100-120 crores. We've already reported that Vijay Deverakonda will be playing dual role in the film. He will be playing both father and son role.

This period action drama is set in Rayalseema region and both characters will be using Rayalaseema dialect. This is the first time Vijay playing dual role in a film. Being crafted as a Pan-India movie, "VD 14" promises to blend historical elements with action-packed drama.

Latest we hear is that director Rahul Sankrityan narrated this exciting script to the Kollywood brothers Suriya and Karthi and they liked the script but it didn't materialize due to unknown circumstances. Rahul changed few things in the script to match Vijay Deverakonda personality and narrated to Vijay. Impressed with the script, Vijay gave his nod for the project.

This project marks the third collaboration between Mythri Movie Makers and Vijay Devarakonda, following the success of films like 'Dear Comrade' and 'Kushi.' Vijay Devarakonda and Rahul Sankrityan are teaming up once again after their previous superhit, 'Taxiwala.'
