Jai Lava Kusa Takes Top 2 In Chennai, But

Young Tiger Jr NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa was also released in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and few other states in India, other than Telugu states. The movie has done exceptional business in Chennai city.

While Vishal’s super hit film Thupparivalan which will soon be released in Telugu as Detective is the highest weekend grosser in Chennai, NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa took second place. Overall, Jai Lava Kusa collected a share of Rs 95 lakhs in Tamil Nadu.

Kingsman The Golden Circle, Magalir Mattum and Naan Aanaiyittal are in third, fourth and fifth positions in highest grossers of the weekend in Chennai.

Jai Lava Kusa will have smooth run for couple more days, until superstar Mahesh Babu’s Spyder hits the screens on 27th of this month. The action entertainer film co-starring Rakul Preet Singh would replace most of the theaters in Chennai and other areas.

AR Murugadoss is a popular director in Tamil and Spyder was made as straight movie in Tamil. Thus, the movie would dominate the box office in Telugu as well as in Tamil. And if it gets encouraging reports, there will be no stopping for it!
