Ilayaraja Speaks About Music !!!

A huge surprise was given to Music Maestro Ilayaraja on the occasion of Ulavacharu Biriyani Audio Launch. The Legend was felicitated in the presence of ace directors and musicians from TFI. Ilayaraja never expected such a welcome and even had no idea what to speak. In this process, he spoke about his favorite song which was composed by M S Viswanathan. Talking about songs, Ilayaraja mentioned that there is a difference between inspiration and imitation in music. Copying someone's work is not inspiration, said Ilayaraja. He mentioned that music should be unique and one of it's kind. There should not be a song that is similar or the same as an original one according to him !!! This is definitely a good tip for all aspiring and established musicians who are copying from someone else !!!
