Analysis:

Vijay Deverakonda became overnight star with Pelli Choopulu. Dwaraka postponed several times owing to some reasons has finally hit the screens. Dwaraka is not a complete romantic entertainer like Pelli Choopulu, but it has romance. Director MSR picked an outdated story of hero becoming godman to save himself and also to settle strong in life. He tried to bring fun out of troubles hero faces in the process. But, the film moves at dead slow pace. Meanwhile, Vijay gets to see his love Pooja Jhaveri. When he proposes her, shockingly, she asks to prove his honesty. It was really shocking because, no girl wishes to marry a thief or a fake godman. The decision he takes lead to interval. Then, Vijay has few challenges like he has to win his love, escape from the place and also to punish trust members. He gets to meet a rationalist in Murali Sharma. In fact, movie becomes interest ever since Murali Sharma meets Vijay. Then, movie ends with predictable climax.

Artists Performances:
Vijay Deverakonda made a gaffe by accepting this film. He hasn’t fit the bill, as it is not the kind of film, he should do. Moreover, he didn’t get much to perform, as only characters surrounding him speak more. Pooja Jhaveri was cool. She looked beautiful in half-sarees and traditional outfits. There’s a lip-lock sequence between lead pair. However, chemistry between them wasn’t rocking. Murali Sharma is biggest asset of the film. He played the role of a rationalist quite remarkably. Prakash Raj too was exceptional in a brief role. Kalakeya Prabhakar and the villain batch are biggest disappointment. They should have picked better actors for the roles. Prudhviraj was okay.

Technical Aspect:
Director MSR should have worked on first half of the film which caters almost nothing for audiences. At least, he should have tried to bring humor out of consequences Vijay faces when people adore him as godman. Sai Karthik provided audio album was just okay and background score too was middling. Cinematography by Shyam K Naidu was decent. Editor should have chopped several sequences in first half and few in second half. Production values are pretty average.

Verdict:
Dwaraka is not the film audience expect from Vijay Deverakonda. The film may not make any magic at box office.
