Deepika Padukone Besides Rajinikanth

Deepika Padukone has been roped in to play the female lead besides Rajinikanth in Kochadaiyaan. After lot of speculation Rajinikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya, who's directing the film, has finally broken the news. Soundarya tweeted: "Guys. Deepika padukone confirmed to play appa s pair in Kochadaiyaan :) great to have you back with us @deepikapadukone :):) big hug!" Earlier the team is said to have approached a few other Bollywood heroines including Katrina Kaif but Deepika, who had earlier been signed on for Rajinikanth's 'Rana' will now be seen in Kochadaiyan as well. Soundarya is also said to have roped in Tamil actress Sneha to play Rajinikanth's sister's role while actress Shobana and actor Aadhi will also play important roles. AR Rahman will compose the music while KS Ravikumar will supervise the direction.
