Criminal Justice series has been successful as an Indian legal drama with Pankaj Tripathi in the lead role. His character Advocate Madhav Mishra has been consistently loved by audiences because of his likeable performance. In the previous season, Shweta Basu Prasad came into the mix and now, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, Asha Negi have been added into important characters. Let's discuss about this Family Matter being dragged to court in detail.

As only three episodes have been released, we cannot give a complete plotline but Madhav Mishra is now defending Raj Napal (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub) who is believed to have murdered nurse Roshni Saluja (Asha Negi) at his daughter's birthday party. Anju Nagpal (Surveen Chawla, Raj's wife is trying to hard to prove the truth.

As per the first three episodes released, this season is not as good as the first three. From the first episode itself, the drama looks very unconvincing and farcical. The drama tries to showcase how Madhav Mishra is also growing a reputation and tries to give him more character but it fails to establish the case as well as it did in previous seasons.

Here, even the performances feel a little bit off and too melodramatic. The series needed much more grounded approach from the first minute rather than it going into this dramatic zone. Being a legal drama, it needed a lot more grounded approach. Pankaj Tripathi is likeable but as Madhav Mishra, he needs much more writing help and this character seems to have gone stale. Surveen Chawla and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub don't get great start.

Early in the show, it might not be great to judge complete one but the start is not that interesting or inspiring for needing more. Let's hope the season 4 does redeem itself in upcoming episodes and deliver better.

Rating: 2.25/5 (for first three episodes)
