Choreographers Turned Directors

Choreography got its due recognition as a well-defined career only in the later years of cinema. Previously, the director used to film the song along with the script but later they saw the dance master coming into the picture. Choreography and direction go hand in hand and perhaps, that"s the reason why tinsel town choreographers are turning directors and let's catch few of them!

Prabhu Deva choreographed steps for top movies like Raja Vikramarka, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Rowdy Alludu, Gang Leader, Gharana Mogudu, Aaj Ka Goonda Raaj, Gentleman, etc. He later turned into director with the movie 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana', which is a super hit in Telugu. Prabhu Deva subsequently went on to direct movies in Hindi, Tamil, etc.
