Bollywood fimmakers hop on whatever trend is popular: Karan Johar

Needless to say, KGF2, directed by Prashant Neel and starring Yash as the hero, was a smash hit. The film is currently available on Amazon Prime OTT and is receiving positive feedback. It is well known that the KGF2 film has amassed an impressive amount of revenue in the Bollywood industry. The film was a hit with both Yash fans and the general public.

However, while discussing the latest KGF2 film, leading producer Karan Johar made some interesting remarks. 'When I read the KGF reviews, I feel like if we made this, we'd be lynched.' But everyone here says, 'Oh, it was a celebration, a party,' and it was. It was fantastic. I loved it with all my heart. But I feel what if we had made this, then?

'Filmmakers down South have ‘ample conviction’ in their projects and ‘do not seek validation’. South filmmakers have a lot of conviction and belief in their sensibilities, which is just not present within a large part of cinema made in the north and they just hop on whatever trend is popular.'

It is worth noting that these films have amassed a level of success that no other film in the Kannada industry has ever achieved. Yash fans are eager to learn more about his new project following the release of KGF2.
