Baahubali 2 To Make 500 Cr Business

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus film Baahubali: The Conclusion post production works are happening at brisk pace in 33 studios as to meet release date deadline of April 28.

Guess what, the film is expected to make pre-release business of Rs 500 crores including all languages theatrical rights, satellite rights, audio rights and other rights. This is the first time an Indian cinema has touched Rs 500 crore mark with pre-release business.

Baahubali 2 is the most awaited Indian film in 2017 and few surveys proved the same. Telugu theatrical business for all areas is expected to close for Rs 120 crores. Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam rights will fetch 90 crores. Hindi and other Indian languages are expected to make Rs 80 cr business. Thus, theatrical rights business for the entire nation is likely to be around Rs 290 crores.

USA rights were already sold for Rs 40 crores. Rest of the world business will be somewhere around Rs 20 crores. So, total worldwide theatrical business will be approximately Rs 350 crores.

Satellite, audio and other rights for all languages will value Rs 100 crores. Also including Separate International Version Markets like China, Japan, Europe etc., and several other ways like Animated Web Series, TV Series, Book and VR etc., deals, the film`s Total Pre-Release Business Value will be close to 500 Cr.
