Airlift Packs 83.5 Crores, Looking To 100 Cr

on Jan 30, 2016

Akshay Kumar's latest movie "Airlift" is stunning not just patriotic Indians, but all. This film about evacuating Indians from the State of Kuwait during the Gulf war in 90s has stuck a chord so well after it released on January 26th.

Airlift took dive into nearly 83.5+ crores of 'gross' collection from box office by Thursday. That means it got a staggering figure on board after 1 week of run, and definitely the film is likely to enter the 100 crores club post the weekend and 2nd week. Hero Akshay Kumar is happy that these kind of masala-less films are being accepted by audiences. "Without glam songs, item numbers and comedy, Airlift is sure going to enter 100 crore club. Earlier Baby has done 90 crore business. Seems like audiences are changing", says Akshay.

Lunchbox movie fame Nimrat Kaur acted as heroine in the movie.
