25 Years for epic film

9th May, is considered as a great day for Mega fans as this is the day 25 years back, the then biggest blockbuster 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari' was released. It was the then highest grosser of tollywood. The film collected crores at that time itself.

Three stars, Chiranjeevi, Sri Devi and K. Raghavendra Rao worked together for that Ashwini Dutt’s production. Megastar made this story bee written by Yandamuri and the legend Jandhyaala, and later approached Raghavendra Rao to direct it. While the distributors were upset that Raghavendra Rao has so many flops by then and that it would not be correct to give the film to him, Chiru decided to give to him and made a great result in history of tollywood.

In those days the film had many visual effects. It was not just a film, it was like an adventure back then. Chiru’s dance to Ilayaraja’s music and Sridevi’s charm to Amreesh Puri’s Villainy were just great in the film.
On the special occasion of 25 years of the film. The producer Ashwini Dutt spoke to many television channels about the film and revealed many matters that were not known about the film.
