Delhi rape victim still critical

The Delhi bus rape victim is still critical, as per the doctors who are attending her. The medical superintendent of Safdarjung Hospital said that she is showing mixed response to the treatment. He said that the victim is now conscious and the pulse rate is normal.

 

He said that they had to supply the food through intravenous because of no intestine. He appealed to all sections of people not to protest at the hospital.

 

On the other hand, the Delhi high court has asked the police top brass to give it the names of the police personnel who were on duty on the night when the rape took place.

 

At Rashtrapati Bhavan, several protestors have tried to enter the premises to express their anger over the incident. They raised the slogans ‘we want justice’.

 

So far, the police could arrest five persons in the case while one more is still absconding. The police are searching in the states of Haryana and Bihar to trace out the sixth person named Akshay Thakur. The police have also booked the cases of attempt to murder and destruction of evidence against all the accused.
