Sathya Sai Central Trust Mystery Deepens

Day by day the Sathya Sai Central Trust mystery is deepening with more scandalous activities coming into light pertaining to the Prashanthi Nilayam precincts. So far three persons have been detained and produced in the court on the charges of hauling huge amounts of cash allegedly from the Yajurveda Mandiram stash in connivance with some of the trust members.  

Sathya Sai Trust Money Hauling Case

The Sathya Sai Trust money hauling case is taking new turns. Harishanand Shetty, who was arrested with huge cash allegedly belonging to Sathya sai Trust has been produced in the court today. The local court has remanded Harishanand till 27th of this month.

Huge Cash Being Taken Out of Puttaparthi

A day after Bagepalli police arrested a man and seized Rs 35 lakh, which was believed to be spirited out of Puttaparthi, the Anantapur police on Sunday morning recovered at least Rs 5 crore stuffed in two gunny bags from a government-owned Puttaparthi-Bangalore Volvo bus. Police detained two Tamil Nadu-based men and took them to a secret location in Anantapur for interrogation. The two were trying to take away the cash in the guise of passengers.

The all powerful Sathya sai Central Trust was always shrouded in mystery and its activities were never transparent. Though none had doubts about the integrity of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, people always had their own apprehensions about mismanagement of the trust by others. Now going by several incidents that took place after the demise Sri Sathya Sai Baba, seems people's apprehensions had some truth in them.  

Sathya Sai Yajur Mandir Inventory Declared

Puttaparthi Sri Sathya Sai Baba Yajur Mandir inventory has been declared by the trust members. A team of 20 people including Sathya sai Central Trust members, justice AP Mishra and justice Vaidyanahan scanned the entire two-storied Yajur Mandir for nearly 36 hours. It was for the first time that the powerful Sathya Sai Central Trust members had stepped inside the holy mandir of Baba on the first floor, sources said.

Speaking to the media the Sathya Sai Central Trust Council member Naganand said that the counting of cash in Yajurveda Mandiram is likely to continue till late in the evening today.

Yajurveda Mandiram: A Treasure Trove of Sathya Sai Baba

Puttaparthi Sri Sathya Sai Baba's personal abode Yajurveda Mandiram turns out to be a treasue trove. The mandiram was opened around 11.15 am on Thursday morning by Mr.Satyajit, the personal assistant of Bhagawan Sri Satya Sai Baba, in the presence of Satya Sai Central Trust Members. The trust members, including justice PN Bhagawati who accomapnied them were shell-shocked to find inmurebale currency bundles inside the Yajurveda Mandiram. State Bank of India Regional Manager of Puttaparthi took up the counting of currency bundles with the help of three counting machines.

T Congress MPs, MLAs, Ministers Ultimatum to High Command

The delegation of Telangana region Congress MPs, MLAs and Ministers shot out a sort of ultimatum to the UPA chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. Caught between an indifferent UPA government at the Centre and growing unpopularity in the region, eight Congress Lok Sabha MPs, one Rajya Sabha member, five ministers in the Kiran regime, 17 MLAs and eight MLCs prepared their resignation letters on Thursday and said they would forward it to the respective presiding officers after July 1 if no positive announcement is made about Telangana by that date.

Pranab Puts T-team at Ease

Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee puts the Telangana Congressmen at ease -  A delegation of around fifty MPs and MLAs from Telangana region called on the Union finance minister Mr Pranab Mukherjee  on Wednesday and apprised him of the need to create a separate Telangana state. Emerging from a 55minute meeting, the Telangana leaders, who were visibly excited, said their demand for statehood would be positively met by the leadership.

Chidambaram Disappoints Telangana Congressmen

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has squarely disappointed a posse of Congressmen from Telangana, who met him today in Delhi to put pressure on the government to speed up separate statehood process. The group of Telangana leaders that met Chidambaram consisted of 10 state ministers, 11 t-region MPs and around 35 MLAs, MLCs and formers representatives of people. The posse of 56 people were very disappointed after meeting the Home Minister.

No Congress-AIDMK Alliance Till DMK in Between

One thing has emerged clearly from Jayalalitha's recent visit to Delhi that there won't be any sort of alliance between Congress and AIDMK as long as DMK continues to be an ally of the Congress at the centre. The Tamilnadu chief minister made this very clear by saying as long as DMK continues to be an ally of the Congress, it would not be 'appropriate" for her to meet the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

Jayalalitha Says Chidambaram Didn't Win MP Election

Tamilnadu chief minister Jayalalitha made her maiden Delhi visit sensational by saying that Home Minister P Chidambaram didn't win the Parliament election in 2009. Jayalalitha who is in Delhi, met the Prime Minister today. After the meet, she attended a press conference. During the press meet she made this sensational disclosure.

Tamilnadu chief minister Ms. J Jayalalitha, who arrived in Delhi yesterday, met the Prime Minister in the afternoon today. Afterr meeting with the prime minister Manmohan Singh, Jayalalitha attended the press conference. Speaking inthe press conference, she told that the PM had held out a lot of hope for Central assistance for Tamil Nadu.

Just after her party's stupendous victory in Assembly polls, Tamilnadu chief minister Ms. J Jayalalitha arrived in New Delhi on Monday to forge new equations with the centre. She would be meeting the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Tuesday afternoon and is expected to discuss her state's power crisis and the problems faced by Indian fishermen.
