Model turned actor John Abraham on a lot of occasions has shown how down to earth he is and also how the success and fame did not overpower him. In a recent interview on being asked what has changed in 13 years from Jism in 2003 to now he said, “I am still very basic and simple. My co-stars always complain that I should be wearing shoes more often as I love to be in my chappals and tee. Today, I am better dressed since I was told that I was to be on TV! I don’t try to be what I am not and my middle class values are my plus point. My dad still takes a bus, mom travels by auto and so do I. We must use public transport.” He said that stardom doesn’t mean wearing black glasses and walking with bodyguards. As humble as he is, John owes his lifestyle to his modest upbringing and his parents. The actor is also an idealist when it comes to attending starry bashes and extravagant award nights. He believes that these ceremonies are all for the eyes and far away from credibility.
