Ram Gopal Varma has come out with his views on Gandhiji and Rama this Sri Ram Navami day. His comment on the Twitter where questioned as to how could Rama be greater than Gandhi is sure to hit the wrong note with the Hindu fundamentalists and we will have to wait and see how they react to this.
The tweet which says ”Gandhiji fought for our country's freedom whereas Ram fought for his Wife's freedom..so how come Ram is greater than Gandhiji?” - if looked with a higher meaning that Gandhi fought for the freedom of millions of people which would make sense but the comparative part again could lead to a debate as the context is different. RGV's views are nice but they he puts it makes him the King of Controversy only when misinterpreted.
