Apparently the awarding of Padma Sri to talented director SS Rajamouli has now led to a big debate on social circles. Is just one big budgeted film needed to get a Padma Sri award, is what many are asking about.
While people Baahubali success is considered as the turning point to award Rajamouli with a "Padma Sri" award, critics are outright in opining that Rajamouli is not the eligible persons. They say— actually Rajamouli's films never spoke about any society related stigmas, social issues or anything. He made himself popular with a series of hits, but those hit films never won awards at any International film festivals. Just for entertaining people, do we need to give him such a big award?
No matter what, cinema lovers are saying that Rajamouli is a legend as he carved out many succesfull movies. Also they claimed that Baahubali is the biggest ever creation in India on celluloid and the only way to honour his efforts is picking him up for Padma award.
