Salman replies to summons;Doesn't apologise

on Jul 14, 2016

The National Commission for women has claimed that Salman Khan, through his spokespersons and lawyers, has refused to apologise for his rape remark. This means that he yet again, pays no heed to the summons sent by them. After missing the hearings on two previous occasions, the 50-year-old actor, yet again, skipped personal appearance for the third time before the MSCW. However, he did send a letter to the panel, responding to the summons that have been issued to him, till date, over his 'raped woman' remark. MSCW chief Vijaya Rahatkar has said, "We have received the letter. We are studying it now.

We have sent it to our legal department and will decide the future course of action," and added that  it will be incorrect to comment on his response as of now while they are still analysing it. Meanwhile, Salman Khan's co-star from Sultan Anushka Sharma spoke about his comments in a recent interview and said, "a lot has been spoken about it. We obviously understand that it was rather insenstitive, something that I was a bit surprised by. What it made me realise that each and every one of us has a responsibility of what we say not just in public but even among friends. Celebrities more so."
