Jai Simha Hit, Agnyaathavaasi Flop Reasons

on Jan 19, 2018

Almost all the films released for this Sankranthi disappointed normal movie goers. While Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Jai Simha and Suriya’s Gang are turning out to be above average grossers, Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi and Raj Tarun’s Rangula Ratnam are set to become disasters.

Balakrishna’s Jai Simha was made on a decent budget. The film fetched Rs 27 crores for producer C Kalyan through pre-release business. So far, Jai Simha earned Rs 24 to 25 crores. Apparently, the KS Ravikumar directed film will reach breakeven mark by end of this weekend. In fact, the only reason for Jai Simha becoming a decent hit is limited budget was spent on it and the pre-release business was also reasonable.

Coming to Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi, the film cost bomb for producer S Radhakrishna. Cashing on Pawan Kalyan’s craze, they sold theatrical and other rights for fancy rates. The Trivikram Srinivas directed movie failed to recover even half of the expenses of buyers. Massive budget and ginormous pre-release business have actually played spoilsport.
