Shah Rukh Khan green signals Don Verse idea?

on Jul 8, 2025

Shah Rukh Khan at the height of his undisputed box office success run in 2000's, been a part of Don Remake. Farhan Akhtar, after making films like Dil Chahta Hain, Lakshya, decided to remake Amitabh Bachchan's Don with a climax twist, keeping him alive. Later, they made Don 2, which became a success but not a blockbuster.

The movie became a cult favorite for fans of Shah Rukh Khan for his entry as Don in the sequel. Now, Farhan Akhtar has decided to make Don 3 without SRK and with Ranveer Singh. The media reports stated that SRK and Farhan had a fall-out as the writer-director wanted to take the idea of Don Verse with Amitabh also joining.

SRK did not like the idea and he did not think YRF Spy Universe kind of integration doesn't work. Farhan released a teaser with Ranveer as Don and people rebuked this version. It took almost 2 years for them to even talk about taking the movie on to sets while reports stated that it has been shelved due to Ranveer's box office form.

Now, recent updates state that Shah Rukh Khan will appear in a cameo from earlier Don films. How Farhan wants to integrate this is not revealed. But the reports suggest that SRK could appear as OG Don while Ranveer as his biggest fan, imposter. If these reports to be believed, then Don verse idea could come alive.
