Rishikanth and Anishma Anilkumar starrer Modha Ratri is trending all over the social media ever since its release on Netflix. The movie has been a hit at the box office and big critical success as well. But once its released on OTT platforms, the movie popularity blew out everywhere with women connecting to the core point. 

Writer-director Raja Karuppuswamy used the premise of a bride Muthuselvi, looking to elope with her lover during her first night. Bridegroom Marudhu, accompanies her and helps her. But her lover decides to not pursue with their plan and what unfolds during the long night is the story. Interestingly, Raja Karuppuswamy played the lover role. 

Rishikanth is being praised for her performance as Marudhu while Anishma's role is being highly praised. It is heartening to see a small film becoming such a wild trend on social media post the OTT release. More interestingly, the reels about green forest comparisons for Marudhu, the climax scene, the outburst scene and appreciation posts have been flooding on Tamil instagram and X handles. 

Even Telugu and other languages people are watching the film post this surge and are appreciating the cast and crew. Rishikanth has been trying to find his big break from a long time and he finally, did it with Modha Ratri. He has Dorothy, in the direction of Karthik Subbaraj coming up. Anishma is on a roll in Tamil Cinema, as her Sirai, Youth and Modha Ratri have been hits. The Malayali girl got her first recognition with Naslen and Girish AD's I Am Kathalan.
