OM starring Dhanush, Mammootty, Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela in the direction of Amaran fame Rajkumar Periasamy. The movie is set around red sandalwood smuggling in Chittoor and Tamil Nadu border, mainly, in Seshadri Hills. The makers have already released one glimpse introducing Dhanush's role and Alakaa lova song has become a huge chartbuster. 

Now, on the birthday of Mammootty, they just dropped a brilliant teaser showcasing Mammootty character's journey from being a simple smuggler to the kingpin. Even at the age of 75, Mammootty looks stunningly fresh, stylish and has an aura of his own to become the character. 

He recently won National Award for his performance as a Chathan in Bramayugam and here, he is back to aura farming as a mob head and his look is designed to fit him perfectly. With many Tamil audiences still having his Thalapathi character fresh in mind, this one is going to be a great callback and maybe an extension. 

The movie shoot is going on at a rapid pace and producers did announce the film could be released in two chapters. Currently, this film is titled as OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood. The makers did announce 16th October release but Jailer 2 is releasing on 15th October. So, would they go for a new date or not is to be seen. 

The movie is produced by Shraddha Agrawal, Dhanush and Azmat jagmag with a high budget. The content released till date from the movie have been highly positive suggesting a remarkable blockbuster for Dhanush and grand return to Mammootty in Tamil.
