Kannappa takes huge opening but real test ahead

on Jun 28, 2025

Kannappa starring Manchu Vishnu, Prabhas, Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Preity Mukundhan, Sarath Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal and Akshay Kumar took a grand opening all over. Thanks to Prabhas cameo, his fans have gone to the theatres to watch their ideal on big screens in Telugu States.

The movie did not receive such big collections from other languages but producer Manchu Vishnu has announced that the movie secured a wide release with huge number of screens, everywhere. The makers are stating that the movie took a grand collection of Rs.20 crores on opening day, worldwide.

Trade experts are surprised with these numbers but are stating that being a devotional film, Prabhas star power, Mohanlal star craze have helped the film. Also, Vishnu is able to create a huge promotional campaign surrounding the film prior to the release.

While the reviews have been generally positive, we have to wait and see how the movie will perform on Monday, that too, from all other languages along with Telugu. The real litmus test for the film is ahead post this opening weekend.
