Kahaani 2 Botches To Thrill

Vidya Balan starred Kahaani directed by Sujoy Ghosh was a critically acclaimed and commercially successful film. It had won several awards, including three National awards. Obviously, expectations were humongous on Kahaani 2 released today.
As per Bollywood reports, Kahaani 2 is not up to the mark of first part of the Kahaani franchise. Although first half is said to be enthralling, unexciting second half has killed the chances of the film becoming a huge hit. Still, the movie is expected to make profits for producers, it would have become a gigantic hit if second half was rightly dealt.
Vidya Balan’s great show as Durga Rani Singh is major asset of the film. Director Sujoy Ghosh is specialist in dealing thrillers, but he botched this time to make an engaging entertainer.
Initially, Durga Rani Singh was proposed to be a individual film with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, but, as the story is too similar to Kahaani franchise, makers has included the project as a sequel to Kahaani.
