CBI summons Thalapathy Vijay in Karur Stampede Case
on Jan 6, 2026

Thalapathy Vijay has been trying to bring in a change in political environment of Tamil Nadu, which is dominated by DMK and AIADMK. He is eyeing to become Chief Minister of the state moving forward with his political party, TVK. But he is currently, in a huge soup with the Karur Stampede Case.
Government has handed over the case to CBI, after Vijay stated that he doesn't belive in TN Government and they have planned security lapses to put him in the pickle. Well, CBI has summoned Vijay to appear before them on 12th January, for the inquiry.
The actor-politician is currently looking at his final movie, Jana Nayagan release this weekend on 9th January. The movie is a remake of Bhagavanth Kesari and it is clashing with The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas. At the moment, except for fans of Vijay, no one is really interested to watch JN, being a remake.
But the one last film of Vijay sentiment might work in favor of it. Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol are playing prominent lead roles in the film and H.Vinoth has directed it. It looks like before election, TN will see more drama than ever surrounding Vijay, with this incident.
