Jailer 2 starring Superstar Rajinikanth in the direction of Nelson Dilipkumar has huge anticipation to repeat the 2023 HGOTY Jailer magic at the box office. Producer Sun Pictures are believing the movie to create unprecedented records at every market in South India for a Tamil movie. 

Shocking the trade in Telugu states, they are quoting an amount of Rs.70 crores it seems. While they are asking for Rs.55 crores, GST and publicity, print costs come up to be valued at Rs.70 crores, it seems. The movie has been collect a gross of Rs.150 crores to 175 crores to even breakeven at such a high rate. 

So, even the regular distributors and exhibitors who would give fancy rates for Rajinikanth starrer releasing in Telugu are not showcasing similar interest in this film. They are asking for even lesser price but Sun Pictures have decided to not go for prices less than they have quoted. 

They have even quoted Rs.25 crores in Kerala and that is much much higher than Jailer final gross. Looks like Sun Pictures are strongly believing that the movie will not miss out on becoming first Rs.1000 crore grosser for Kollywood. Anirudh Ravichander has returned to score music and teaser, trailer and glimpses will release towards the end of this month. Jailer 2 is releasing on 15th October and there are many cameos from big stars like Hrithik Roshan in the film.
