Taapsee Pannu’s Gandhari has beaten Dhurandhar and Jaane Jaan in their second-week Netflix viewership, recording 9.6 million views and setting a new benchmark for Indian Netflix Original films.

The action thriller, which premiered on September 3, opened with 5.9 million views in its first week. Its viewership surged by over 60 per cent in the following week, pushing it to the top of Netflix’s global non-English films chart.

The film’s second-week tally is notably higher than the numbers recorded by Dhurandhar and Jaane Jaan. While Dhurandhar registered 8.2 million views in its second week, Jaane Jaan managed 6.4 million. Gandhari has surpassed both with its 9.6 million views.

According to the report, citing Netflix Tudum data, Gandhari has also recorded the highest single-week viewership for an Indian Netflix Original film. The second-week surge showcases how people are interested in watching this film.
