Marathi Actress Amruta Khanvilkar has issued a strong legal warning against reports surrounding her marriage to actor Himanshu Malhotra, calling the claims about their personal life baseless, misleading and defamatory. The development comes after reports surfaced claiming that Amruta and Himanshu have been living separately for around 18 months. 

The reports sparked speculation about trouble in their marriage, although they did not suggest that the couple had initiated divorce proceedings. According to reports, the two have continued to remain cordial and maintain a close relationship despite living separately.

Amruta's legal representatives have now issued a notice to media organisations and social media platforms, warning against the publication or circulation of what they describe as false, defamatory and unverified information about the actress and her marriage. The statement reportedly cautions that appropriate legal action could follow against those responsible for spreading such claims.

Interestingly, the controversy comes after the couple themselves had previously addressed the speculation surrounding their relationship. Amruta and Himanshu have maintained that they are still married, while choosing not to discuss the details of their personal equation publicly. Their decision to keep their private life away from the spotlight appears to have only fuelled further speculation in recent months.

Amruta and Himanshu have been together for several years. The couple met during India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj, eventually began dating and got married in January 2015. They also participated together in Nach Baliye 7, which they went on to win.
