India Cricket Team For Sri Lanka Tour Announced

India cricket team for Sri Lanka tour has been announced a shortwhile ago. The 15-man squad will play five One-Day Internationals and one Twenty20 International during the three-week tour. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the Captain, while Virender Sehwag, the explosive opening batsman, and Zaheer Khan, the pace spearhead, have been included to the Indian limited-overs squad for the tour of Sri Lanka later this month.

HC Denied Bail to Jagan

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday denied bail to jailed Kadapa MP and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He is currently lodged in Chanchalguda jail facing charges of disproportionate assets. The court had earlier heard arguements of both, the investigating agency CBI and Jagan's counsels for a couple of days and had reserved its judgement for today.

Jagan Illegal Assets Case: CBI Sets Yet Another Booby trap

Seemingly in an attempt to tighten the noose around Kadapa MP and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has set another booby trap to ensure further extension of his remand. HC Defers Jagan Bail Hearing For Thursday

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday heard the arguements on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's bail petition in the disproportionate assets case. Jagan's counsel, the famous Ram Jethmalani presented his arguements before the court at length. He contended that Jagan Mohan Reddy's arrest by the CBI while he was under court summons was not proper.

Chandrabala Call Data: CI, Reporter Booked

Acting upon a complaint by social activist Vasireddy Chandrabala, the Cyberabad police on Tuesday registered a criminal case against the Nacharam Circle Inspector M. Srinivasa Rao, and Sakshi Telugu daily senior correspondent, K. Yadagiri Reddy, for alleged unauthorised collection of the Call Data Record (CDR) of the complainant.

Kadapa MP and YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will have to remain in judicial custody till 4 June. The CBI special court on Monday extended his judicial custody till 4 June 2012. Jagan appeared before court through video conference, though earlier he filed a petiton in the court seeking to appear in person, which the court had dismissed.

Yet Another Rave Party Busted in Hyderabad

On credible information the Hayathnagar police have raided Sai Swagruha Resorts at Piglipuram in Hayathnagar mandal in the outskirts of Hyderabad and busted a rave party going on in there. Police arrested 25 girls and 15 youngmen, while over 40 persons fled from the scene. The arrested persons include callgirls from Mumbai, some local cine artistes, few foreigners and sons of some VIPs. The police also seized 15 cars parked in the premises.

Jagan Bail Plea in HC: Hearing on 27 June

The bail plea of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Andhra Pradesh High Court has been posted for hearing on 27 June. The YSRCP president, who is currently under judicial remand in Chanchalguda jail till 25 June, had applied for bail in the high court on Thursday. In his bail petition, Jagan Mohan Reddy pleaded the court that he be granted bail keeping in view his MP status besides his responsibility as a political party president.
