Vishal gets huge shock from Madras High Court
Updated : Feb 17, 2026
The Madras High Court has delivered a significant setback to Tamil actor and producer Vishal regarding his ongoing legal dispute with Lyca Productions. The conflict stems from a financial disagreement where Vishal was previously directed to deposit a substantial sum following a breach of contract or loan repayment issue.
Earlier, a single judge had issued orders against the actor, which he challenged before a division bench. While the bench granted an interim stay on the single judge’s order, it was conditional upon Vishal depositing ₹10 crore with the court.
Seeking relief from this immediate financial burden, Vishal filed a fresh petition requesting a six-week extension to arrange and deposit the funds. However, the Madras High Court expressed its dissatisfaction with the repeated requests for more time.
Upon hearing the plea, the bench refused to grant the extension and officially dismissed Vishal’s petition. This ruling places the actor in a difficult position, as he must now navigate the legal and financial implications of the court’s firm stance on the ₹10 crore deposit.
