Trisha decides to not support TVK and stay apolitical

Actress Trisha Krishnan has taken a firm stand against recent "distasteful and inappropriate" remarks made about her by a high-ranking political figure. Through her legal advisor, Nithyaesh Natraj, she issued a formal statement on February 15, 2026, to address the ongoing controversy and set the record straight regarding her personal and professional life.

Many news reports have stated that she is planning to join TVK, as she is very close to Thalapathy Vijay. Some even started comparing her life with Jayalalitha and stating that she will shadow Vijay just like Jayalalitha shadowed MGR. But she filed a case against BJP leader and issued a statement clarifying that she would stay apolitical and her personal life should not be a concern for politics.

The statement clarifies that Trisha has no affiliation with any political party and intends to maintain her long-standing neutral stance in politics. It emphasizes that she wishes to be recognized solely for her craft as an actress rather than being linked to any political discourse. The communique further notes that personal lives should not be made a subject of public commentary, especially by those holding responsible positions in the state's political space.

Concluding the statement, the actress requested that her name not be drawn into matters that do not concern her. Following the release of this legal note, Trisha also took to social media to state that disrespect should always be called out. The move has received significant support from her fans and colleagues in the film industry, reinforcing her demand for professional boundaries and mutual respect in public discourse.
