Virata Parvam Review: Poetic Love Story destined for only few
Updated : Jun 17, 2022
The film Virata Parvam has piqued everyone's interest. The teaser, trailer, music, and posters have all sparked public attention. The combination of Sai Pallavi and Rana Daggubati changed their focus to drama. Venu Udugula's writing and directing abilities are well-known. He chose the deep and delicate aspect once again, in his own style, and made the film Virata Parvam. It came out to the audience today (June 17). Let's take a look at what this movie looks like.
Story:
Virata Parvam is well known to everyone. In real life, everyone knows who Vennela is. Everyone is familiar with the simple story. Venu Udugula attempted to tell this story in his own unique style, which he found to be very clear and honest. Virata Parvam's story takes place in the 1990s. Vennela (Sai Pallavi) is influenced by Comrade Aranya alias Ravanna's writings (Rana). Love is developed. Vennela's love develops on Aranya in the same way as Mirabai's love grows on Krishna. The police, on the other hand, are on high alert in order to apprehend Ravanna, the Maoist group's leader. Vennela leaves the house during such times and begins her search for Ravanna. To get to Ravanna, she has to go through unbearable sufferings. In the end, she joins the maoists. It is known, however, that coverts were present in the group at the time. Vennela is eventually singled out for suspicion. The rest of the story revolves around Vennela and her love for Ravanna.
As Rana has said, this is a Sai Pallavi film. She is phenomenal through out the film. Little is mentioned about her versatility, which can be seen in everywhere from her body language to the way she delivers her lines. Her honesty in her eyes and the intensity in her words envelop the audience not just in the film but also in her character.
Rana should be commended for portraying such a complex character. However, another hero playing a hero role with such a small screen presence is untenable. Ravanna's character, Rana, is brave and talented in his own way.
Nandita Das, Ishwari Rao, Zarina Wahab, and Priyamani all play important roles and those roles have further strengthened the film. Sai Chand gave another excellent performance as Vennela's father.
Technical Team:
Director Venu Udugula steered the film in a simple manner, obviating the need for extraneous comic segments. Every word in the dialogues he wrote was like a bullet. The way the reed costume is composed for the occasion is especially remarkable during the dialogues that explain that there is no revolution beyond love. The director, on the other hand, took a little longer to engage the audience into the story.
After Sai Pallavi, Suresh Bobbili is the film's most valuable asset. With songs and background music, he elevated the film to new heights. Suresh Bobbili brings the film's emotion to a nother level, especially with the background music. It would have been lovely if the production and art design had been given the utmost attention.
Verdict:
Virata Parvam is a good film that asserts that there can be no revolution without love. Unlike most commercial films, the film manages to entertain as well as enlighten. Sai Pallavi's performance, Suresh Bobbili's music, and the film's compelling dialogues and direction make it a must-see.
