Godse Review: Satya Dev's mission lacks Rewatchability

Versatile actor Satyadev and actress Aishwarya Lekshmi’s social drama, Godse under the direction of Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi is out for public viewing today. Check out our Godse Review.

Story:

Godse (Satyadev), fed up with the corrupted system, resolves to exact vengeance on politicians and businesspeople who have a tendency of making false promises to the public. Who is Godse, exactly? What's his backstory, exactly? The film's central plotline revolves around why he goes against the system.

Key Aspects:

Satyadev was convincing in his performance. In some ways, the manner he presented the multi-layered character adds depth to the proceedings. In a few important scenes, his dialogue delivery lends a real flavour.

In the part of a special branch police officer, actress Aishwarya Lekshmi is stunning. Her powerful performance as a member of the police department's negotiation team brings a couple critical sequences in the first half to life.

Actors that performed supporting roles are exceptional in their roles. Arjun Reddy is a well-known actor. In her extended cameo appearance as Godse's wife, Jia Sharma is excellent.

Technical Department:

Sunil Kashyap's music is good, and his background score is impressive at times. On the screen, all of the songs are audible.

Sagar Udagandla's editing is excellent, since he keeps the film's runtime short and crispy. Suresh Sarangam's cinematography is impressive, as he effectively captures the film.

C Kalyan's CK Screens has excellent production values and design.

In terms of direction, director Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi did a good job of presenting the truth behind the shell corporations set up by rich businessmen with the help of political power. How will the general public be affected by the effects of suitcase companies?

Negative Points:

The film follows a standard plot that has been seen in Telugu films for decades. Despite the director's efforts to end the picture on a bright note, this serious drama lacks rewatchability.

The writing and scene sequence are great, however the emotional connection between the hero and his life is not well highlighted.

Verdict:

To summarise, Godse is a hard-hitting social drama that exposes the system's flaws. The public's difficulties as a result of the bogus corporations set up by wealthy politicians are presented in an appropriate manner. The film will appeal to those who enjoy strong social dramas.

One Word Review: Voice against the corrupt system.
