SCOOP: Ticket Pricing Helps Nani
Updated : Sep 14, 2015
Big news is that Hero Nani has beaten the full run collections of some top-shot movies like "Temper" and "Eega" in USA. While Temper collected $10,52, 650, Eega made $10,71,281 at USA box office. Nani's "Bhale Bhale Magadivoyi" collected $11,67,692 by second Saturday and it's still running with huge intake.
What's the big reason for this success? Apart from getting positive talks from reviews, analysts say that the ticket pricing in USA helped a lot for the film. Generally big budget films are priced at more than $20 for premieres and $16 for regular shows. But "Bhale Bhale Magadivoyi" is sold at $14 and $12, which helped everyone invest on tickets easily. Only first first show and second show, ticket is $ 14, while it's just $ 12 for morning and matinee. All these low-cost tickets helped Nani pull more NRIs to theatres, thereby breaking into 1 Million Dollar club easily.
Meanwhile Nani's demand has increased after the success of this film. Currently his remuneration around 1-1.5 crore and now it got shot to 4-5 crores, says a source.
